GAF Geospatial GmbH in Munich is seeking a Legal Counsel – Commercial, Contract & Procurement Law to provide legal advice to management and departments, support contract negotiations and procurement matters, and help develop templates, processes, and compliance standards.

The role covers drafting contracts in German and English, advising senior teams, and coordinating internal and external legal activities in an international, technology-driven environment.

Qualifikationen

• Completed legal degree, ideally with First or Second State Examination, or a degree in commercial law.
• Experience in the legal department of an international company or business law firm is an advantage.
• Fluency in German and English (C1) and strong analytical abilities.
• Experience with public procurement law or regulated tender environments is recommended.
• Exposure to intellectual property or compliance matters is a plus.
• Ability to work in an international, project-based, technology-driven environment.

To strengthen our legal department at our headquarters in Munich, we are seeking a committed and business-oriented Legal Counsel – Commercial, Contract & Procurement Law.

Munich | Full-time (40 hours/week) | Start: as soon as possible

In this role, you will provide legal advice to management and specialist departments, support contract negotiations and procurement-related matters, and contribute to the further development of legal templates, internal processes, and compliance-related standards.

Your responsibilities

• Negotiate and draft contracts in German and English, assess legal risks, and provide practical solutions in commercial and procurement matters

Your Profile

• Completed legal degree, ideally with First or Second State Examination, or a degree in commercial law
• First relevant professional experience in the legal department of an international company or in a business law firm is an advantage
• Well-qualified early-career candidates with a strong interest in in-house legal work are also welcome
• Good knowledge of contract law, commercial law, and ideally public procurement law
• Strong analytical skills and the ability to present complex legal matters in a clear and understandable way
• High level of professionalism, reliability, and sound legal judgment
• Fluency in spoken and written German and English (min. level C1, CEFR)
• Structured and independent working style, with the ability to prioritise effectively in a dynamic environment
• Strong communication and teamwork skills in an interdisciplinary and international setting
• Experience with public procurement law or regulated tender environments
• Exposure to intellectual property topics or compliance-related matters
• Experience in an international, project-based, or technology-driven business environment
• Additional language skills, especially French, Italian and/or Spanish
