Job summary

SCAYLE is seeking an Legal Consultant – E-Commerce & Data Protection to independently advise on data protection and IT law, handle B2B inquiries, and support records of processing activities and privacy policies. You will draft contracts and collaborate with internal teams and external law firms on national and international projects.

Fluent German and English are required, with a strong tech affinity and an agile, solution-oriented mindset suited to a fast-paced, international environment.

Qualifications

• Master's degree in Business Law (LL.M.) or equivalent.
• Initial practical experience in e-commerce, IT or data protection law.
• Fluent German and English, written and spoken.
• Strong affinity for technology and quick adaptation to new topics.
• Structured, solution-oriented, and able to communicate complex issues clearly.
• Strong teamwork, flexibility and initiative in an international environment.

Responsibilities

• Independently advise on data protection and IT law matters in day-to-day business and strategic projects at the intersection of IT law and e-commerce.
• Handle and respond to B2B customer inquiries.
• Support drafting records of processing activities, privacy policies and DPIAs; identify legal opportunities and risks.
• Draft, review and manage company contracts.
• Provide legal support for development of new tech products and services, IT systems, and contracts at national and international level.
• Collaborate with internal stakeholders and external law firms.
• Work directly with the General Counsel and maintain regular communication.
• Support knowledge management and administrative processes.

• Independently advise on data protection and IT law matters in day-to-day business, as well as on strategic and project-related topics, particularly at the intersection of IT law and e-commerce
• Handle and respond to B2B customer inquiries
• Support the preparation of records of data processing activities, privacy policies and data protection impact assessments, as well as the identification of legal opportunities and risks in projects and process design
• Draft, review and manage company-specific contracts
• Provide legal support for the development and implementation of new technology products and services, IT systems, business processes and contracts at national and international level
• Work closely with internal stakeholders across various departments and external law firms
• Work directly with the General Counsel and maintain regular communication
• Support knowledge management, handle general administrative and organizational tasks, and establish processes
  • Completed Master's degree in Business Law (LL.M.), first state examination in law or an equivalent academic qualification
  • Initial practical experience in e-commerce law, IT law and/or data protection law
  • Fluent German and English skills, both written and spoken
  • Strong affinity for technology and a keen interest in quickly familiarizing yourself with new digital and legal topics
  • Structured and solution-oriented approach to work, with the ability to quickly grasp complex issues and communicate them clearly
  • Strong teamwork skills, flexibility and initiative, as well as an enthusiasm for working with diverse stakeholders in a dynamic and international environment
