Overview

Our client is a fast-growing DTC eCommerce brand focused on personal care products across oral hygiene, nail & foot care, and home hygiene categories.

This isn’t a maintenance role — it’s a ground-up build.

As a Lead Shopify Developer, you’ll architect, code, and scale our new Shopify Plus ecosystem from scratch.

What You’ll Do
  • Architect & Build: Lead the full setup of our Shopify Plus environment — themes, integrations, and performance-first foundations.
  • Code Daily: Stay hands-on in Liquid, HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and API integrations.
  • Launch Funnels & Pages: Build conversion-optimized landing pages, advertorials, and quiz funnels using GemPages, Replo, or PageFly.
  • App Management: Implement and optimize tools for 1-click upsells, cross-sells, bundles, subscriptions, and loyalty programs.
  • Lead & Mentor: Manage a small, agile team (UX / UI designer + junior developer), ensuring clean documentation and scalable processes.
  • Performance Obsessed: Maintain top-tier site speed, mobile responsiveness, and pixel-perfect tracking (Meta, Google, etc.).
  • Collaborate for Growth: Translate creative and marketing ideas into seamless technical solutions that drive measurable results.
What You Bring
  • 7–10+ years total dev experience, including 5+ years in Shopify (Shopify Plus preferred).
  • Mastery in Liquid, HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript, JSON, and REST APIs.
  • Proven success building and scaling high-performing Shopify stores, funnels, and landing pages.
  • Experience with GemPages, Replo, PageFly, or similar funnel builders.
  • Strong grasp of pixels, CAPI, and ad tracking integrations.
  • Background in DTC e-commerce (physical products) — ideally with 8–9 figure scale-ups.
  • Previous leadership or mentorship experience — you enjoy helping others grow.
  • Excellent written and spoken English, with a documentation-first mindset.
  • A proactive, collaborative approach — you thrive on solving problems, not pointing them out.
Nice-to-Have Skills
  • Experience in health, wellness, beauty, or skincare categories.
  • Familiarity with Klaviyo, ReCharge, Freshdesk, or other retention-focused apps.
  • Exposure to headless Shopify, React, or Vue.
  • Experience with WooCommerce or other e-commerce platforms.
  • Past involvement in migration or global expansion projects.
