Job summary

T-Systems International GmbH in Hamburg and other locations seeks a Lead IT Architect Open Source Cloud to shape our sovereign cloud platform. You design and drive open-source cloud architectures, define roadmaps, and ensure security, scalability, and sovereignty across multi-cluster environments.

You will work with Gardener, Cluster API, and IronCore to automate Bare Metal and cloud-native IaaS, advise stakeholders, and lead architectural governance across delivery streams.

Qualifications

• Kubernetes expertise and container orchestration for cloud-native infrastructures.
• Experience with Gardener for multi-cluster management and Cluster API.
• Proficiency with Open Source Cloud technologies and IronCore for cloud-native IaaS.
• German language skills at native level; English proficiency required.
• Experience in technology strategy and architecture governance.

Responsibilities

• Sparring partner for lead architect on open source cloud initiatives.
• Create and refine a product vision for a sovereign cloud platform.
• Define the technology roadmap in coordination with specialist teams and delivery streams.
• Provide architecture governance and quality assurance across delivery streams.
• Evaluate and recommend open-source technologies for sovereign cloud use.
• Represent the architectural position in customer workshops and committees.
• Design and manage multi-cluster strategy using Gardener and Cluster API.
