AI Futures is recruiting a Senior/Lead Data Engineer to take end-to-end ownership of a cloud-native Lakehouse on Azure, leveraging Databricks and Terraform. You will design, build, and operate the data platform while driving security, monitoring, and cost optimization.

Based in Hamburg, you will join a greenfield project and work on 3-5 days per week from the Hamburg office, shaping architecture decisions and delivering scalable data solutions for a market-leading mobility client.

Qualifikationen

• Hands-on experience with Azure data engineering.
• Experience with Azure Kubernetes clusters.
• Solid DevOps/IaC background; comfortable owning infrastructure, not just pipelines.
• Based in Hamburg, willing to work 3-5 days a week in Hamburg office.

AI Futures are working with a mobility specialist client who are the No. 1 in their category and are expanding their Data & Cloud team.

About the Role

They're rebuilding their Data Warehouse into a modern, cloud-native Lakehouse on Azure, using Databricks, Terraform, and CI/CD pipelines. They're looking for a Senior/Lead who can take real ownership across both Data Engineering and the DevOps side.

What You'll Do

• Design and build a cloud-native Lakehouse architecture on Azure using Databricks
• Own infrastructure design and automation using Terraform (IaC)
• Build and maintain CI/CD pipelines to support fast, reliable deployments
• Set up monitoring, alerting, and performance/cost optimization across cloud environments
• Implement and maintain cloud security and compliance standards
• Take end-to-end ownership of the platform from architecture decisions to day-to-day operations

What We're Looking For
