For our client, a leading technology company in Munich, we are currently looking for a Lab Support Technician (m/f/d) in Munich.
Your role:
As a Lab Support Technician (m/f/d) you will support engineering activities in a highly technical laboratory environment. The role combines mechanical assembly, electrical installation, test system setup, and technical lab support.
The ideal candidate has a technical education in electronics, mechatronics, electrical engineering, or mechanics and enjoys working hands‑on with complex test setups and measurement equipment.
Your Responsibilities
Lab Setup & Mechanical Assembly
- Perform mechanical installation and modification tasks for laboratory test systems
- Modify and prepare racks for the installation of new test equipment
- Install racks including measurement devices, switches, passive filters, and related components
- Support the setup and preparation of engineering test environments
- Perform mechanical adjustments and improvements to existing lab infrastructure
Electrical Installation & Wiring
- Install and route DC power cables, data cables, and RF cables
- Support cable assembly and connectivity tasks for test systems
- Perform soldering activities when required, especially during peak workload periods
- Support engineers with board setup preparation and enablement activities
Measurement Equipment Support
- Support calibration activities for measurement equipment
- Assist with repair, maintenance, and troubleshooting tasks
- Ensure test equipment is available and properly maintained
- Support engineering teams during validation and testing activities
Lab & Inventory Management
- Maintain inventory of lab equipment, components, and consumables
- Manage stock levels and ensure availability of required materials
- Update databases and maintain accurate documentation
- Support general lab organization and operational tasks
Your Profile
- Completed technical education as: Electronics Technician, Mechatronics Technician, Electrical Technician, Mechanical Technician or comparable qualification
- Practical experience in a laboratory, manufacturing, test, or engineering environment
- Hands‑on experience with mechanical assembly and technical installations
- Experience with electrical wiring and cable assembly
- SMD soldering skills are required
- Ability to read and understand technical drawings and documentation
- Structured and reliable working style with strong attention to detail
- Ability to work independently as well as part of an engineering team
- Fluent English, German nice to have
