Job summary

Kubernauts GmbH in Köln is seeking a senior cloud engineer to design and implement large-scale distributed systems using Kubernetes and cloud-native stacks. You will build secure applications, contribute Helm charts, and collaborate with open-source communities.

Travel may be required for business purposes. The role requires 3+ years on distributed systems, strong security design skills, and proficiency in German and English.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of experience on large-scale distributed systems.
• Experience designing secure distributed solutions.
• Proficient with Kubernetes and cloud-native tooling.
• Experience with Ansible, Terraform, SaltStack or CloudFormation.
• Strong organizational and time-management abilities.
• Degree in a technical field; CKAs are a plus.
• Good knowledge of German and English.

Requirements:

• 3+ years of experience working on large scale distributed systems
• Significant experience designing secure distributed solutions
• Excellent knowledge of Kubernetes, Mesos/DC/OS, Docker Swarm or Cloud Foundry
• Experience with Ansible, Terraform, SaltStack or CloudFormation
• Strong organizational and time-management abilities
• Degree in a relevant technical field; certifications such as CKA are a plus
• Good knowledge of German and English
