Job summary

EIM Executive Interim Management GmbH in Munich seeks a Head of Finance Germany to manage the finance department end-to-end. You will oversee accounting, controlling and reporting, while driving budgets, forecasts and strategic financial decisions.

The role requires fluent German and English, seniority in finance leadership, and collaboration with the Group CFO and auditors. The position is permanent, based in Munich with hybrid work options.

Qualifications

• Completed degree in business administration, finance, accounting or controlling.
• Several years of experience in business services, ideally people-centric like consulting or recruitment.
• At least 3-5 years leading a finance department, with international exposure.
• In-depth knowledge of accounting, controlling and annual financial statements.
• Experience setting up reporting systems and finance processes.
• Proficient with Excel/Google Sheets and BI tools; strong communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Own the entire finance department, including accounting, controlling and reporting.
• Report to the German country manager and to the Group CFO.
• Lead a finance team of 2 people and develop budgets and forecasts.
• Analyse key figures and advise on strategic financial decisions.
• Implement and optimise finance tools and systems that scale with the company.
• Oversee monthly closings, annual accounts, and cost center reporting.
• Coordinate with departments, auditors and tax advisors.

For our own team we are looking for a Head of Finance Germany based in Munich in permanent position.

Your Tasks

• Responsibility for the entire finance department, including accounting, controlling and reporting


• Reporting to the German country manager and functionally to the to the Group CFO


• Managing a finance team of 2 people


• Drawing detailed budgets and business plans and responsible for rolling forecasts, cashflow and liquidity planning.


• Analysis of key figures and derivation of strategic financial decisions


• Implementation and optimisation of finance tools and systems that grow with the company


• Monthly closing & Annual accounts


• Reimbursement of costs based on cost center report


• Preparation of ad hoc analyses


• Coordination with the individual departments and the office manager


• Communication with the management team, auditors and tax advisors


• Support the management in strategic financial matters

Your Requirements

• Completed degree in business administration, finance, accounting or controlling


• Several years of experience in the business services, ideally people business like consulting, recruitment sectors


• At least 3-5 years of experience in leading a Finance department, ideally with experience of international sister units


• In-depth knowledge of accounting, controlling and annual financial statements


• Proven experience in setting up reporting systems and finance processes


• Confident in using tools in the controlling and accounting world (Excel/Google Sheets, Power BI or similar BI tools, accounting software)


• Willingness to engage in continuous professional development


• Fluent in German and English (written and spoken)


• a third European language is a plus
