Metirionic seeks a Junior Software Systems/Signal Processing Engineer (m/f/d) in Dresden to develop signal processing algorithms for UWB, Bluetooth, and IEEE 802.15.4 based systems. You will push concepts from simulation to embedded hardware, validate them with experiments, and collaborate with customers and partners.

The role requires a degree in electrical engineering or related field, strong DSP/estimation fundamentals, and programming experience in C, Rust, or Python.

• Develop signal processing algorithms for radio-based ranging and positioning using technologies such as UWB, Bluetooth and IEEE 802.15.4, as well as for radar-based sensing applications
• Design and optimize algorithms for distance, angle, positioning, and radar applications
• Contribute to system specifications and architectures based on customer and application requirements
• Bring algorithms from simulation and prototyping to embedded implementation, verification, and real-world validation
• Analyze measurement data, design experiments, and solve technical problems

Your Profil:

• A successfully completed university or technical college degree in electrical engineering or a related field
• Good fundamentals in digital signal processing, estimation, or related areas
• Practical programming experience with C, Rust, Python, or another system programming language
• Openness to AI-assisted engineering and the use of AI tools in daily development workflows, with critical review and validation of results
• Professional English
