Junior PPA Originator

TGRC is partnered with a fast-growing renewable energy and asset management business operating at the forefront of Europe's evolving energy market.
With continued growth across its renewable energy portfolio, the business is looking for a Junior PPA Originator to join its team in Hamburg. This is an opportunity to develop a career in PPA origination, working across renewable energy offtake, electricity markets, commercial analysis, and direct marketing.
Key Responsibilities
- Identify and support the acquisition of new energy customers for renewable energy projects.
- Support the preparation, coordination, and follow-up of PPA and direct marketing requests (RFPs).
- Assist with the modelling and economic evaluation of different PPA structures.
- Prepare market analyses, commercial assessments, and decision-making materials for internal and external stakeholders.
- Monitor developments across the electricity market, including market trends, pricing dynamics, and regulatory changes.
- Support the wider PPA origination team throughout the commercial process.
- Build knowledge of renewable energy markets, power pricing, and the key drivers influencing PPA structures.
- Contribute to commercially focused activities and the development of new customer relationships.
Key Requirements
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Economics, Business, Industrial Engineering, Energy Management, or a related discipline.
- 1--2 years of relevant experience through internships, working student positions, or early-career roles in energy trading, renewable energy, or a related field.
- Alternatively, a strong understanding of electricity markets and the key factors influencing power prices.
- Strong analytical and numerical skills, with an interest in energy markets and commercial modelling.
- Highly motivated, proactive, and eager to develop a career within renewable energy and PPA origination.
- Fluent German and English, ideally at C1 level or above.
