Zusammenfassung

Ascory Bank AG is seeking a Junior Information Security Officer to work closely with the CISO and shape the further development of our information security management system in Hamburg. You will take responsibility early on and contribute to exciting projects while continuously developing professionally.

We value initiative, a proactive attitude, and the ability to work independently. Strong German and English communication skills are essential for success in this role.

Qualifikationen

• Completed (dual) degree in computer science, business informatics, IT security, or a comparable qualification.
• Interest in regulatory requirements and information security standards.
• Initial practical experience in information security, IT, or IT compliance (internships/part-time/early roles).
• Analytical and structured thinking with meticulous approach to work.
• Willingness to take on responsibility and drive projects forward independently.
• Excellent written and spoken German and English skills.

Aufgaben

• Support the operation and development of the Information Security Management System (ISMS).
• Assist with implementation of regulatory requirements (DORA, MaRisk, ISO 27001) and internal/external audits.
• Support risk analyses, protection needs assessments, and security evaluations.
• Create and maintain policies, standards, and documentation; contribute to vulnerability and incident management.
• Evaluate ICT projects and new technologies from an information security perspective.
• Conduct security awareness initiatives and training sessions.
• Handle and track information security incidents.

As a Junior Information Security Officer, you will work closely with our CISO and play an active role in shaping the further development of our information security management system. YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Supporting the operation and further development of the Information Security Management System (ISMS)
• Assisting with the implementation of regulatory requirements (e.g., DORA, MaRisk, and ISO 27001) as well as internal and external audits
• Supporting risk analyses, protection needs assessments, and security evaluations
• Creating and maintaining policies, standards, and documentation, as well as contributing to vulnerability, countermeasure, and finding management
• Evaluating ICT projects and new technologies from an information security perspective
• Conducting security awareness initiatives and training sessions
• Handling and tracking information security incidents

YOUR PROFILE:

• Successfully completed (dual) degree in computer science, business informatics, IT security, or a comparable qualification
• Interest in regulatory requirements and information security standards
• Initial practical experience in the field of information security, IT, or IT compliance - for example, through internships, part-time student jobs, or early professional experience
• Analytical and structured thinking, as well as a meticulous approach to work
• Initiative, a willingness to learn, and a passion for familiarizing yourself with new topics
• Willingness to take on responsibility and drive projects forward independently
• Excellent written and spoken German and English skills
