NAXCON GmbH, based in Freiburg, seeks an IT Systems Engineer-Technical Manager 2 to lead technical management, analysis, and system development in the Defence field. You will drive requirements, create specs, perform tests, and coordinate with suppliers and external bodies.

The role involves automating recurring processes with scripting, implementing secure network/server infra, and presenting technical proposals at customer sites. Full-time on site.

Qualifikationen

• Completed technical degree or IT training (IT specialist in system integration, electronics technician, or comparable).
• Experience with Windows/Linux administration, system integration, and security-aware design.
• Knowledge of Ansible, VMware, and network infrastructure; supplier coordination desirable.

WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR
Support in the following areas:

• Technical management in the context of bid preparation and system development
• Conducting requirements analysis and management
• Preparing specifications
• Performing system integration and fault detection
• Conducting system tests
• Creating scope of work and schedules
• Presenting technical proposals to customers on-site
• Defining, planning, and monitoring work packages (actual vs. target)
• Coordinating or creating key system documents
• Conducting technical reviews and audits
• Creating technical decision templates (e.g., make or buy)
• Creation of test concepts and documents
• Planning and execution of internal and external acceptance tests
• Reporting and presentation of development results in project status meetings
• Planning and coordination of system qualification with external bodies (e.g., environmental, EMC, functional safety)
• Management of suppliers and subcontractors
• Determination of progress and cash outflow

2. Position +:

• Development and maintenance of scripts for automating recurring processes and supporting deployments and system configurations (Ansible/Python/Bash/PowerShell)
• Installation and configuration of hardware and software, as well as integration into complex IT systems
• Design and implementation of BSI-compliant network and server infrastructures in accordance with current security standards

Technical Qualifications

• Completed technical degree or vocational training (IT specialist in system integration, systems electronics technician, or comparable)
• Practical experience or very good knowledge in the following areas:
• Administration of Windows and Linux servers and clients
• Network administration (preferably Cisco)
• Creating automations with Ansible
• Experience with VMware vSphere and Horizon
• Additional knowledge of the following is desirable:
• Veea
• check_m
• Genua firewalls & remote maintenance solutions
