Our client is looking for a System Engineer to join a Japanese IT company based in Düsseldorf.

Responsibilities

• Design, construction, implementation, maintenance, and improvement of server, network, and security applications
• Preparation and installation of hardware
• Project management and promotion, as well as providing technical advice
• Customer support through problem-solving (troubleshooting)
• Communication with customers (coordination, progress management, and reporting)
• Technical proposal support for the sales team
• System operation and maintenance
• Documentation related to the above tasks (using Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Visio)
• Design and construction of LAN systems
• Maintenance of PC-LAN systems
• Configuration, installation, and connectivity testing of CE equipment related to Internet and network services

Qualifications

• Work experience as a System Engineer (5+ years preferred)
• Broad knowledge and experience in the following areas:(
  • Server architecture (cloud/virtual environments, Windows/Linux, VMware/Hyper-V/Xen)
  • Networking (firewalls, routers, etc.)
  • Security applications (SD-WAN, Zero Trust solutions, etc.)
  • Hardware (Dell, Fujitsu, HP, etc.)
  • Technical skills: TCP/IP, cloud services, Windows, data security, authentication, network configuration (CCNA), backup technologies
  )
• Business-level English proficiency is required
• German or Japanese language skills are a plus
• Strong communication skills with the ability to provide excellent client support
• Proactive and self-motivated attitude
• Strong teamwork skills
