A global specialty chemicals company in Hanau is seeking an IT Specialist to manage infrastructure and system improvements in a dynamic environment. The ideal candidate will possess a degree in computer science or engineering and at least 2 years of experience, alongside strong technical knowledge and customer-oriented skills. Responsible for the technical analysis, specification, implementation, maintenance and service improvement of site infrastructure, site security and production systems
Ensure the continuous assurance, support and optimization of systems, applications and processes in the site infrastructure / site security and production environment
Responsible for planning, coordinating, supporting and documenting services and rollout scenarios for site infrastructure / site security and production based on current company standards
Implement system and process changes
Analyze, specify, and optimize processes to support the operation of products and services
Conduct user training and coaching as needed
Test and evaluate new hardware and software products within the site infrastructure environment
Promote the maintenance of user and asset management systems
Member of the regional support team
Graduated from college with a degree in computer science, engineering, or equivalent and have at least 2 years of experience
Bring technical knowledge in a broad range of sub-fields often considered separate specialties, such as site infrastructure and communications systems, and are able to translate that knowledge into a compelling presentation for the client
Must have a working knowledge of the theory, analysis and application of computer systems, networks, mobile communications and emerging computing technologies
Have a working knowledge of site infrastructure/site security and production systems
Pursue a general knowledge of MS applications and have the ability to quickly and thoroughly evaluate new products
Familiar with SAP
Interested in the procurement and administrative processes to support the delivery of IT products and services
Suited for this position if you are a self-driven, motivated, and inquisitive individual who is able to identify the importance of solutions to the business and has a thorough knowledge of company and technical standards and guidelines
Enjoy working in a matrix organization
Like to collaborate and work in different functional teams on a local and regional level
Can work independently and on your own initiative and are an excellent team player
Have excellent customer orientation and communication skills and are able to understand, review and ensure compliance with Service Level Agreements (SLAs)
An independent learner, enjoy cross-cultural teamwork, and have good conflict management skills
