Engel & Völkers Technology GmbH Hamburg is seeking an IT-Security Engineer (f/m/d) to advance our core security systems. You will collaborate with the Tech Lead, engage with an external SOC, and drive engineering, automation and maturity of our security stack in a full-time 40-hour role.

You will own SIEM/Chronicle initiatives, implement automation, and contribute to BCM and incident response while working in a hybrid setup at the Hamburg headquarters.

Qualifikationen

• University degree in computer science, information security or similar.
• Several years of hands-on experience with modern SIEM/SOAR platforms (ideally Google SecOps/Chronicle) and scripting in PowerShell, Bash, or Python.
• Deep understanding of security automation, Enterprise Firewalls and offensive security (ethical hacking).
• Understanding of endpoint detection and response (EDR) solutions and defensive stacks, preferably Microsoft Defender or Jamf.
• Knowledge of ISO 27001, BSI-IT Grundschutz, or BCM methodologies.
• Very good English communication; German is a plus.

To support our IT-Security Team at the Hamburg headquarters, we are looking for you as IT-Security Engineer (f/m/d)* with immediate effect in full-time (40 hours). As IT-Security Engineer (f/m/d)*, you will work closely with our Tech Lead to elevate our defensive capabilities. Supported by an external SOC that handles initial triaging, your focus will be on the engineering, automation, and continuous maturity growth of our core security systems.

Tasks that let you grow

• Drive SIEM maturity alongside our Tech Lead by continuously developing our Google Chronicle & SOAR platform, building and tuning correlation rules, and designing automated playbooks to optimize detection engineering.
• Serve as the internal escalation point for our external SOC providers, taking over complex security incidents and improving the overall operational workflow.
• Support the continuous improvement and configuration of our defensive stack, including EDR and Firewall infrastructures.
• Manage infrastructure risks by assessing findings from Google SCC (Security Command Center) and coordinating vulnerability remediation across teams.
• Prepare, accompany, and evaluate external penetration tests while supporting team-wide business continuity management (BCM) and incident response strategies.

Your skills, that inspire us

• University degree in the field of computer science, information security or a similar education.
• Several years of hands-on experience with modern SIEM/ SOAR platforms (ideally Google SecOps / Chronicle) and solid scripting skills in PowerShell, Bash, or Python.
• A deep understanding of security automation principles, knowledge of Enterprise Firewalls as well as knowledge in the area of offensive security (“etchical hacking”).
• Understanding of modern endpoint detection and response (EDR) solutions and defensive stacks, preferably Microsoft Defender or Jamf.
• Basic understanding of organizational security structures, including frameworks like ISO 27001, BSI-IT Grundschutz, or BCM methodologies.
• Very good communication skills in English, German is a plus.
