eleQtron develops and operates full-stack quantum computers based on trapped-ion technology. Quantum computing is a new computing paradigm rapidly approaching commercial viability. Our unique approach combines laser-cooled trapped ions with microwave control and tailored magnetic fields. Our next-generation computing machines under development will be able to find solutions to problems that are out of reach today, thus enabling new innovative products and services for a brighter future.

Responsibilities

As an IT Manager, you will take ownership of our internal IT landscape – overseeing infrastructure, ensuring system security, and supporting teams across our two locations. Depending on your level of experience, you will work on one or more of the following tasks:

• Manage and maintain IT infrastructure, including networks, servers, VPNs, firewalls, and Microsoft 365
• Implement and enforce IT security measures (e.g. patching, 2FA, encryption, endpoint protection), ensuring compliance with GDPR and internal policies
• Lead and coordinate IT support across the company with its two locations, ensuring smooth operations for both onsite and remote teams
• Oversee the setup, integration, and support of specialized software (e.g. COMSOL, SolidWorks PDM) and license servers
• Coordinate IT asset tracking, license compliance, procurement, and documentation
• Manage IT-related aspects of onboarding and offboarding, including access control and device setup
• Plan and drive infrastructure upgrades, working with external providers to ensure scalability and reliability

Required Skills

• Proven experience in IT operations, including systems, networks, and Microsoft 365 administration
• Proficient with Microsoft 365 admin tools and experience in software deployment and management
• Solid understanding of IT security, compliance, and network basics
• Experience in leading IT projects and managing upgrades in a fast-paced environment
• Proactive, solution-oriented, and able to work independently
• Fluent in German and English
• Experience building IT infrastructure in a startup or scaling environment is a plus
