Mynaric is seeking an IT Lead to shape and grow the local IT organization, serving as the primary interface to Rocket Lab, our US-based parent. This hands-on leader will drive strategic direction while rolling up sleeves in a fast-moving manufacturing setting.

You will own IT operations and SAP S/4HANA ERP landscape, ensuring reliability, security, and operational excellence, with tight ERP–MES integration to support manufacturing. Manage budgets and define a future-ready IT roadmap.

Qualifikationen

• Proven leadership of IT teams with a track record of developing talent.
• Strong ERP expertise, especially SAP S/4HANA and process integration.
• Solid understanding of MES and ERP–MES interactions within manufacturing.
• Experience with security frameworks (GDPR, NIST 800-53) and compliance.
• Hybrid IT experience, preferably Microsoft/Azure environments.
• Hands-on, solution-oriented mindset with ownership and resilience.

As our IT Lead you will lead and further develop our local IT organization while acting as the primary interface to Rocket Lab, our US-based parent company. This role is for a hands‑on leader who thrives in a fast‑moving manufacturing environment who can set strategic directions, coach a growing team, and roll up their sleeves when it counts.

• Lead, mentor, and develop a team of junior and mid-level IT professionals, acting as a coach and role model who gives clear direction and fosters a culture of ownership
• Take overall responsibility for IT operations and strategy across our two Munich manufacturing sites, ensuring business continuity, reliability, security, and operational excellence.
• Own and continuously improve our ERP landscape, with a strong focus on SAP S/4HANA and its integration into business‑critical processes.
• Drive the alignment and integration between ERP, MES, and shopfloor systems to ensure efficient and reliable manufacturing operations.
• Serve as the primary IT liaison to our California-based parent company, Rocket Lab, with closecollaboration across time zones
• Lead i n frastructure, cybersecurity, digitalization, and manufacturing IT projects from concept through implementation.
• Manage IT budgets, vendors, and service providers with a strong focus on value creation, performance, and cost efficiency.
• Define and enforce security, risk, and compliance standards aligned with Germanregulations
• Act as an escalation point for major IT incidents and drive sustainable root‑cause resolution
• Translate business and manufacturing requirements into a clear IT roadmap that supports growth, operational efficiency, and scalability.

What you bring with you

• Several years of leadership experience managing and developing IT teams, with a proven track record of building strong, engaged, and high‑performing IT professionals .
• Strong expertise in ERP systems, ideally SAP S/4HANA, including governance, implementation, optimization, and business process integration.
• Good understanding of MES (Manufacturing Execution Systems) and the interaction between ERP, production, engineering, quality, and supply chain processes.
• In‑depth knowledge of security practices, frameworks, and compliance requirements (e.g., GDPR, NIST 800-53)
• Solid background managing hybrid IT landscapes, with Microsoft/Azure-based environments preferred
• Pragmatic, solution‑oriented, and execution‑focused mindset with a proven hands‑on approach, actively supporting the team while effectively prioritizing in a fast‑paced and evolving environment.
• High level of personal integrity, resilience, ownership, and authentic leadership behavior
