La Fosse is seeking an experienced IT Infrastructure Engineer to join an international education organisation in Germany. You will support the separation of two schools from a central IT environment and oversee the transition from the current MSP, becoming the on‑site technical expert for the school.

This role spans a broad technology stack, with ownership of infrastructure and hands‑on support for users in a collaborative setting.

Qualifikationen

• Strong knowledge of Microsoft 365, Azure, and Entra ID/AD.
• Experience with Windows Server and virtualization.
• Networking knowledge of LAN, switches and firewalls.
• Experience with Microsoft Intune and MDM.
• Experience supporting Windows 11 and iPad devices.
• Experience migrating infrastructure or cloud projects.
• Experience working with MSPs or third-party suppliers.
• Excellent communication for non-technical users.
• Fluent German and English; on-site availability.

Are you an experienced IT Infrastructure Engineer looking for a varied, hands‑on role where you'll make a real impact?

We're supporting an international education organisation as it establishes independent IT operations for two schools in Germany. As part of an exciting infrastructure transition, we're looking for experienced IT Engineers to help separate the schools from a centralised IT environment, oversee the transition from an existing Managed Service Provider (MSP), and become the on-site technical expert for the school.

What you'll be doing

• Provide 2nd/3rd line infrastructure and end-user support.
• Lead and coordinate IT transition activities during the separation from an existing MSP.
• Work closely with external service providers to ensure a smooth migration and handover.
• Support Microsoft 365, Azure and Active Directory environments.
• Administer Windows Server infrastructure and virtual environments.
• Manage Microsoft Intune, endpoint management and MDM solutions.
• Support Windows 11 devices, iPads and other end-user hardware.
• Maintain LAN, switching and firewall infrastructure.
• Coordinate planned maintenance, downtime and infrastructure changes with school leadership and staff.
• Assist with the selection and onboarding of a new managed service provider.
• Participate in infrastructure improvement and cloud migration projects.

What we're looking for

• Experience in a 2nd or 3rd Line Infrastructure, Systems or IT Support role.
• Strong knowledge of Microsoft 365, Azure, Entra ID/Active Directory.
• Experience with Windows Server and virtualisation technologies.
• Good understanding of networking including LAN, switches and firewalls.
• Experience with Microsoft Intune and mobile device management (MDM).
• Strong knowledge of Windows 11 and Apple iPad support.
• Experience delivering infrastructure or cloud migration projects.
• Experience working alongside Managed Service Providers (MSPs) or third-party suppliers.
• Excellent communication skills with the ability to explain technical concepts to non-technical users.
• Fluent German and English.
• Ability to work on-site five days per week when required.
• Experience working within a school, university or other education environment.
• Project coordination or project management experience.
• Experience managing vendors or suppliers.
• ITIL or Microsoft certifications.
