Job summary

Bayer is seeking an IT Digitalization Expert (all genders) in Germany to drive the site's digital transformation, collaborate across functions and deliver the Digital Roadmap with global strategies. You will implement analytics and visualization platforms, train staff, and promote data-driven decision-making.

The role requires a Master in a relevant engineering field, proven digitalization experience, and strong leadership.

Qualifications

• Master degree in chemical engineering, process engineering, electrical engineering or similar.
• Experience in digitalization projects within engineering contexts.
• Knowledge of process modelling, computer-aided process engineering and data analytics tools.
• Basic knowledge of EMR & automation technology.
• Strong leadership, communication, and team-motivation skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead and steer the site's digital transformation with the defined digital vision.
• Drive adoption of digitally enabled solutions and manage site communities.
• Coordinate digital projects to deliver the Digital Roadmap aligned with global strategies.
• Implement analytic/visualization solutions (Tableau, PIC, TrendMiner, Power BI) and train staff.
• Foster a digital culture and enable data-driven decision-making across the site.
• Develop local data infrastructure and ensure automated data availability.
• Integrate digitalization into onePSS and coordinate cross-functional teams.

Your Tasks And Responsibilities

• Lead and steer the site's digital transformation by defining and executing the digital vision in collaboration with all site functions.
• Identify digital improvement opportunities, manage site communities, and drive adoption of digitally enabled solutions
• Drive and coordinate digital projects and project teams to successfully deliver the Digital Roadmap while ensuring alignment with global digital strategies and experts while representing site needs and supporting local transformation initiatives
• Lead the implementation of analytical and visualization solutions (e.g., Tableau, PIC, Trendminer, Power BI), realize visualization projects, and train site employees (e.g. Anlagenexperten IT) to build digital capabilities and drive adoption of data-driven solutions
• Foster a digital culture and mindset through change management, training, and the digitalization of strategy deployment and team dialogues
• Develop local data infrastructure and ensure automated data availability to enable data-driven decision-making
• Ensure the integration of digitalization into onePSS

Who You Are

• Master degree in chemical engineering, process engineering, electrical engineering or similar
• Sound experience in engineering/demonstrated experience in digitalization projects
• Practical experience or comprehensive knowledge of process modelling, computer-aided process engineering, and digital systems for data analytics and visualization.
• Basic knowledge of EMR & automation technology
• Ability to work effectively in and motivate teams, with strong communication, facilitation, and community leadership skills
• Creative, solution-oriented, flexible and well organized
• Fluent in German and English (spoken and written)
