About our client

Our client is an entrepreneurial private investment firm with a strong track record of building and developing industrial technology and manufacturing businesses across the DACH region. Since its establishment in 2013, the firm has acquired 19 companies and follows a deeply hands‑on approach, often embedding team members directly within portfolio companies to help drive operational improvement and support growth, including through targeted add‑on acquisitions.

What the job involves

• From origination and analysis through to execution and closing - you will work on all aspects of the transaction life cycle, focused on small cap industrial opportunities. Additionally, you will be actively involved in portfolio management
• Your day-to-day tasks will include the management of due diligence work streams and in-depth analysis of new deal opportunities in the DACH market as well as significant exposure to value creation and operational workstreams
• Flexibility is key, balancing deal processes and active portfolio work. You will need to demonstrate a high level of initiative in prioritising tasks as well as strong commercial judgment and people skills

Who we are looking for

• Initial training and transaction experience, most likely from a mid sized investment bank, M&A boutique, Big 4 accounting firm or from a corporate M&A department
• The firm is looking for true all‑rounders with great communication skills and a low ego. Your strong financial skills and excellent commercial judgement will allow you to hit the ground running; your people skills will enable you work effectively with management teams and colleagues alike
• The team are hands‑on, down‑to‑earth team players with a genuine passion for ‘Mittelstand’ companies and you should share this perspective
• Native‑level German and excellent English skills are required
