Allianz Global Investors seeks an Intern to join the Strategic Development Team in Munich, supporting a major transformation and M&A integration project. The role offers hands-on experience in a global initiative, coordinating stakeholders across Europe and Asia under senior leadership.

You will engage in PMO activities, prepare materials, track milestones, and assist in governance documentation while developing skills in strategy, asset management, and project management within a premier asset

Qualifikationen

• Pursuing a Master’s degree in a related field.
• Strong analytical and organizational skills.
• Excellent PowerPoint and Excel skills.
• Professional English communication; German is a plus.
• Availability for a minimum of 6 months is preferred.
• Previous internship experience in consulting, project management, strategy, M&A, financial services, or asset management is preferred.
• Experience preparing management presentations and conducting business analyses is advantageous.

We are currently looking for an Intern to join the Strategic Development Team within the Global Investment Platform Function! The position will be based in our Munich office.

About The Job

The Strategic Development Team is looking for a highly motivated intern to support a major strategic transformation and M&A integration project within Allianz Global Investors.

This role offers a unique opportunity to gain hands‑on experience in one of the firm's most important global initiatives, supporting the separation and integration of UOB Asset Management (UOBAM) following a strategic transaction. Working directly with senior project leadership, you will help coordinate a complex international program involving stakeholders across Europe and Asia.

What You Do

• Support overall project management and PMO activities across multiple workstreams
• Coordinate meetings, workshops, governance forums, and project reporting
• Prepare management presentations, steering committee materials, and status updates
• Track project milestones, risks, issues, and dependencies
• Support workstream leads with planning, documentation, and follow‑up on action items
• Assist in maintaining project governance documentation and project plans
• Analyze data and prepare management summaries to support decision‑making
• Coordinate with internal stakeholders and external advisors across multiple jurisdictions.

What You Bring

• Currently pursuing a Master degree in Business Administration, Economics, Finance, Management, or a related field
• Strong analytical and organizational skills
• Excellent PowerPoint and Excel skills
• Professional communication skills in English; German is a plus
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks in a fast‑paced environment
• Strong interest in project management, M&A, strategy, and asset management
• Previous internship experience in consulting, project management, strategy, M&A, financial services, or asset management is preferred
• Experience preparing management presentations and conducting business analyses is advantageous
• Availability for a minimum of 6 months is preferred
• Ability to use Microsoft Copilot, with a strong commitment to ethical and responsible AI practices.
