ACCURE Battery Intelligence is seeking motivated students for hands-on data analytics on large battery operation datasets. You will explore performance, safety, and lifetime aspects, then turn insights into actionable methods and visuals for engineers and customers.

The role emphasizes using AI tools in daily tasks, applying structured thinking, and delivering real project outcomes under mentorship at our Aachen office.

Qualifikationen

• Enrolled in a technical degree (electrical, mechanical engineering, computational science or data science).
• Genuine interest in lithium-ion batteries and the BESS industry.
• Experience with Python for data analysis or willingness to learn quickly.
• Good English communication; German is a plus.

Your Role

• Data exploration: Dig into one of the world's largest battery operation datasets, covering grid-scale battery energy storage systems (BESS), and work out what it says about performance, safety and lifetime.
• Analytics and models: Find trends, anomalies and predictive patterns, and help turn them into methods that run in production.
• Visualisation: Turn analysis into visuals an engineer, an operator or a customer can act on.
• AI in the workflow: Use AI tools as a normal part of how the work gets done, from exploring data to writing code, and build the judgement to tell a correct answer from a merely plausible one.
• Real project work: Take a real piece of a real project, with a mentor and a clear deliverable, not a side task invented for a student.

Your Skills

• Studies: You are enrolled in a technical degree, for example electrical or mechanical engineering, computational science or data science.
• Battery and BESS enthusiast: You are genuinely interested in lithium-ion batteries and the BESS industry, and have picked up some battery basics already.
• Python: You can work with data in Python, or you are close enough that you will get there fast.
• AI tools: You already use AI tools in your studies, or you are keen to start, and you check the output rather than trusting it.
• Working method: You bring initiative, structure and reliability, you think analytically, and you ask when something is unclear.
• Languages: You communicate confidently in English. German is a plus, not a requirement.
