Job summary

MAHLE sucht einen engagierten Praktikanten (tuition) zur Analyse von Fahrzeugmessdaten und Entwicklung datengetriebener Modelle im Bereich des Thermomanagements. Sie arbeiten an der Implementierung von ML-Algorithmen in Python und unterstützen die Validierung von Surrogatmodellen.

Sie teilen sich Aufgaben mit Experten aus Thermomanagement, Regelungstechnik und KI, arbeiten eigenständig und analytisch, und profitieren von einer 35-Stunden-Woche, flexibler Arbeitszeit und attraktiver Vergütung in

Qualifications

• Zurzeit immatrikuliert in einem relevanten Studiengang (Informatik, Data Science, etc.).
• Grundkenntnisse im Bereich maschinelles Lernen oder Data Science.
• Gute Python-Kenntnisse (NumPy, Pandas, Scikit-Learn, PyTorch) und agiles Software-Development-Verständnis.
• Interesse an Reinforcement Learning, KI und datengetriebenen Modellen.

Responsibilities

• Analyse und Verarbeitung von Fahrzeugmessdaten für datengetriebene Modellierungsansätze.
• Entwicklung und Validierung von Surrogatmodellen für thermische Fahrzeugsysteme.
• Unterstützung der Entwicklung innovativer Thermomanagement-Regler.
• Implementierung und Evaluation von ML-Algorithmen in Python.
• Durchführung von Simulationen sowie Analyse und Visualisierung der Ergebnisse.
• Zusammenarbeit mit Experten in Thermomanagement, Regelungstechnik und AI.

Job description

Tasks

• Analysis and processing of vehicle measurement data for data-driven modeling approaches
• Development and validation of surrogate models for thermal vehicle systems
• Supporting the development of innovative thermal management controllers
• Implementation and evaluation of machine learning algorithms in Python
• Conducting simulations as well as analyzing and visualizing the results
• Collaboration with experts in the fields of thermal management, control engineering, and AI

Requirements

• Currently, purely voluntary internships cannot be offered
• Currently pursuing a degree in Computer Science, Data Science, Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Mathematics, Physics, or a comparable field
• Basic knowledge of machine learning or data science
• Good programming skills in Python (e.g., NumPy, Pandas, Scikit-Learn, PyTorch) and in agentic software development
• Interest in reinforcement learning, AI, and data-driven models
• Independent and analytical approach to work
• Good command of English
