Airbus Defence and Space GmbH invites an enrolled student to join the On-Board Data Handling team in Immenstaad for an internship focused on the integration of Data Handling Unit. The role supports setup, testing, and documentation within a dynamic, international environment.

The internship offers hands-on experience in ADHA studies sponsored by ESA, with a 35-hour work week and potential for a final thesis after departmental consultation.

Formación

• Full-time student in Electrical Engineering or Information Theory.
• English fluent; German/French/Spanish beneficial.
• Team player with good communication skills.
• Focus on Data Handling and/or Processors is a plus.

Responsabilidades

• Set up the test bench and test specification, and perform functional test execution and evaluation.
• Assist in documenting test results and preparing test reports.
• Define test scope in collaboration with a lead engineer.
• Prepare and/or execute test scripts and ensure traceability of results.
• Contribute to ADHA study documentation and project deliverables.

Your tasks and responsibilities

Airbus is contributing in central roles to the Advanced Data Handling Architecture (ADHA) Study sponsored by the European Space Agency. In the frame of the study the first Hardware digital unit is built in 2027.

The selected candidate will support the setup of the test bench, test specification, execution and evaluation of the functional tests of this prototype unit.

The internship will start with an introduction to ADHA and the selected candidate will be provided with documentation to familiarize with the topic (self-study). In a second step the test scope will be defined together with a leading engineer. Thereafter the selected candidate will (support) the setup of the test, specify the test, generate the respective test script, execute the test cases, evaluate the results and generate a test report. All the work will be documented in detail.

Desired skills and qualifications

• Enrolled full-time student (d/f/m) in the area of Electrical Engineering, Information Theory or an equivalent field of study.
• Language skills: English fluent, German/French/Spanish are beneficial
• Teamplayer in a multidisciplinary team
• Good Communication skills
• Focus on Data Handling and/or Processors is a plus
• Knowledge in Validation and Verification (V&V) is a plus
