Job summary

AUDI AG in Neckarsulm offers an Internship in Artificial Intelligence within Technical Development. You will apply AI techniques to real development challenges, analyze interior development processes, and help identify AI use cases with engineers.

You will work with Design, Ergonomics, Vehicle Safety, and Product Development, building AI prototypes and sharing knowledge. Strong German or English, and solid Python skills are expected.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Analyze existing methods to identify potential AI use cases in Interior Development.
• Identify suitable AI use cases with engineers and departments.
• Contribute to AI use case implementations using models, tools, interfaces and development tools.
• Develop and test initial AI-based prototypes and proofs of concept.
• Develop AI-powered workflows to enhance development and approval processes.
• Analyze current AI usage and identify further opportunities for application.
• Contribute ideas and share knowledge on Artificial Intelligence within the team.
• Prepare and deliver knowledge-sharing formats such as workshops and AI sessions.

Within the field of vehicle development, we work on innovative interior components while advancing the digitalization of our development processes. In close collaboration with colleagues from Design, Ergonomics, Vehicle Safety, Engineering and Product Development, we contribute to creating future-oriented mobility solutions.
Artificial intelligence creates new opportunities across the development process, for example in the analysis of technical data, the evaluation of simulation results and the support of development and release processes.
During your internship, you will have the opportunity to apply modern AI technologies in a real-world development environment and contribute to innovative solutions for vehicle development. You will support the identification of use cases for artificial intelligence within interior development and collaborate on the development and implementation of suitable solutions. In addition, you will contribute to knowledge sharing around AI applications, support the exchange of ideas on emerging technologies and help further develop digital ways of working and processes within the department.

Job Purpose/Role

• You analyze existing working methods, processes, and approaches within Interior Development to identify potential applications for Artificial Intelligence

• You support colleagues in exploring and implementing AI use cases and contribute to the development of AI-related skills within the department
  
• You collaborate with specialist departments, development engineers, and other stakeholders and present your results to different target groups

Key Requirements/Skills/Experience

• You are currently studying Computer Science, Artificial Intelligence, Data Science, Business Informatics, Engineering, or a comparable degree program
  
• You have very good written and spoken German or English skills
  
• You have knowledge of Artificial Intelligence, Machine Learning, and Generative AI
  
• You possess good programming skills, ideally in Python
  
• You have ideally gained initial practical experience in developing applications, automations, or prototypes
  
• You are familiar with the fundamentals of Large Language Models (LLMs) and their application in digital solutions and workflows
  
• You have a good understanding of software development, data processing, and automation
  
• You enjoy learning about new technologies, tools, and frameworks and can quickly familiarize yourself with them
  
• You are interested in exploring innovative technologies and developing creative solution approaches
  
• You communicate effectively with different target groups and can explain complex topics in a clear and understandable way
  You will agree on your internship period in close alignment with the department.
