Carl Zeiss Meditec AG in Berlin invites motivated students to join our advanced development team for the design, prototyping, and testing of an innovative eye implant. You will perform mechanical and functional tests with lab equipment and work with sensors, actuators, and data acquisition systems.

You will develop and adapt Python code for test automation and data analysis, contribute to prototype assembly, and use Creo Parametric for fixture design.

Qualificações

• Ongoing studies in mechatronics, mechanical engineering, electrical engineering or a comparable technical discipline.
• Programming experience in Python and the ability to understand, modify, and develop existing code.
• Basic knowledge of sensors, actuators, measurement systems, electronics, or data acquisition systems.
• Interest in combining software development, hardware integration, and experimental testing.
• Willingness to perform hands-on laboratory and prototyping work.
• Structured and analytical approach to experimental work and data evaluation.
• Strong problem-solving skills and a proactive, curious mindset.
• Clear and structured written communication skills for technical reports and presentations.
• Fluent English
• Ability to work on site in Berlin
• Experience with Creo Parametric or other CAD software
• Knowledge of finite element modeling, preferably using Ansys.
• Experience with automated test setups or laboratory equipment
• Experience connecting Python applications to sensors, actuators, microcontrollers, or measurement equipment
• Previous experience in prototyping, mechanical assembly, or experimental device development

Responsabilidades

Your Role
