Job summary

DHL Group is seeking an Auditor IT (m/f/x) in Bonn for a full-time unlimited position starting February 1, 2027. The role focuses on executing IT audits across DHL Group, developing audit programs, and delivering high-quality audit reports. Diplomas in IT or related fields and 2+ years of audit/IT experience are required.

CISA/CIA certification is preferred; travel across Europe and worldwide is expected. Bonn-based with hybrid options?

Qualifications

• University degree in IT, business administration or equivalent.
• At least 2 years of professional experience in an audit function or an IT role.
• CISA or CIA or equivalent preferred.
• Strong knowledge of IT systems and processes (networks, OS, databases).
• Knowledge of COBIT, ITIL and ISO 27000 family.
• Excellent English language skills; German is a plus.
• Willingness to travel across Europe and worldwide.

Responsibilities

• Execute process- and risk-based IT audit assignments across DHL Group.
• Prepare audit programs, participate in opening/closing meetings, and support high-quality audit prep.
• Conduct interviews, perform audit testing and data analysis.
• Document audit results and deliver high-quality reports.
• Contribute to development of IT audit standards and methodologies.
• Build relationships with key stakeholders and present findings to local management.

YOUR TASKS

• Execute process and risk-based audit assignments in all areas of information technology within DHL Group, including
  • Prepare and support high quality audit preparation
  • Develop audit programs and methodologies
  • Prepare for and participate in opening and closing meetings
  • Conduct interviews, perform audit testing and data analysis
  • Collect, analyze and document audit results based on audit programs
  • Deliver high quality audit results and reports
• Contribute to the development and implementation of principles, standards and methods, audit work programs for the IT audit function
• Build solid relationships with key stakeholders associated with the audited business entity.

YOUR PROFILE

• University degree in information technology, business administration or comparable qualification
• Minimum of 2 years of professional experience in an audit function or an IT role (e.g. public certified audit company, an IT internal audit function or IT consultancy)
• Ideally qualifications such as CISA (ISACA), CIA (IIA/DIIR) or equivalent
• Good knowledge of information technology and IT systems (e.g. networks, operating systems, databases)
• Good knowledge of IT processes and /or business processes (e.g. IT Security, Service Continuity Management, Service Management)
• Good knowledge of relevant frameworks and standards like COBIT, ITIL and ISO 27000 family
• Very good English language skills (written and oral), German language skills are a plus
• Strong analytical and conceptual abilities supported by AI tools with a high degree of personal responsibility and integrity
• Ability to work under pressure in a demanding environment, with excellent communication and negotiation skills
• High flexibility and willingness to travel for audits in Europe and, in exceptional cases, worldwide
