TeamViewer invites an intern to join our Software Engineering team in Göppingen. You will gain hands-on software development experience working on real-world projects used by customers worldwide.

You will design, develop, test, and maintain software with Java, Kotlin, JavaScript/TypeScript, React, C++, C#, and SQL while collaborating in an Agile environment. AI-assisted tools will help improve productivity and code quality.

Qualifikationen

• Enrolled in a university program in CS/SE/IT with mandatory internship.
• Strong interest in software development and AI-assisted tooling.
• Solid programming experience in Java, Kotlin, JavaScript/TypeScript, C++, or C#.
• Basic SQL understanding and Git version control experience.
• Good English communication and ability to work both independently and in a team.

Responsibilities

Join TeamViewer as an Intern in our Software Engineering team and help us explore modern development practices enhanced by AI‑assisted tools and workflows. You will work alongside experienced engineers on real‑world projects, gain hands‑on software development experience, and contribute to building and improving products used by customers around the world.

• Design, develop, test, and maintain software functionality for our products and services
• Work with technologies including Java, Kotlin, JavaScript/TypeScript, React, C++, C#, and SQL
• Collaborate closely with experienced Software Engineers in a dynamic Agile environment
• Utilize AI‑assisted development tools to improve productivity, software quality, and engineering workflows
• Contribute to implementing new features, enhancements, and bug fixes across different components of our platform
• Participate in code reviews, testing activities, and technical discussions
• Work independently on solutions for specified requirements
• Be responsible for adhering to time and quality specifications
• Monitor technology trends and AI‑assisted engineering practices and make proposals for improvement

Requirements

• You are currently enrolled in a university program in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Technology, or a related field
• Mandatory internship is part of your curriculum and will be used for this position
• Strong interest in software development, modern engineering practices, and AI‑assisted development
• Solid programming experience in one or more of the following technologies: Java, Kotlin, JavaScript, TypeScript, C++, or C#
• Basic understanding of SQL and data‑driven applications is a plus
• Solid experience with version control systems such as Git
• Understanding of object‑oriented programming principles, Clean Code, and software design fundamentals
• Analytical mindset and strong problem‑solving skills
• Ability to work independently as well as within a team
• Fluency in English
• Nice to have: Experience with React and modern web development frameworks
• Nice to have: Experience with AI‑assisted development tools such as GitHub Copilot, ChatGPT, Cursor, or similar
• Nice to have: Familiarity with backend development and REST APIs
• Nice to have: Experience with Agile software development methodologies
• Nice to have: Previous experience through personal projects, open‑source contributions, student projects, or internships

• Our Working Students in Germany receive a competitive monthly salary:
• €1,566 for a 20‑hour/week contract
• €1,253 for a 16‑hour/week contract
• €1,400 for a full‑time internship position
