Dassault Systèmes in Stuttgart is offering an internship in Software Engineering & Aeroacoustics Research to benchmark high-Mach LBM schemes and evaluate GPU-based LBM solvers. You will collaborate with the aeroacoustics team to build reference datasets and help integrate research insights into solver roadmaps.
The role suits a Master’s or PhD candidate in related fields who can work in English and contribute to cutting-edge CFD research.

The Aeroacoustics team within the SIMULIA/R&D/FLUIDS unit is looking for an intern to help advance our physical modeling capabilities. Our team develops and validates methodologies for predicting aerodynamic sound generation and radiation, primarily focusing on two software packages: PowerFLOW (for transient, scale-resolved flow simulations) and OptydB (our team-developed tool for pre- and post-processing). We also build automated workflows for specialized applications, including wind turbine, EVTOL/rotorcraft, and turbofan/acoustic liner noise simulations.
In this targeted internship, you will benchmark a high-order Lattice Boltzmann Method (LBM) schemes, specifically evaluating a GPU-based implementation, to build a referential framework for next-generation LBM solver architectures.
As a game-changer in sustainable technology and innovation, Dassault Systèmes is striving to build more inclusive and diverse teams across the globe.
