Huawei Ohm Research Center in Nuremberg invites motivated MSc/PhD students to join the Battery Diagnostics team. You will combine lithium-ion battery electrochemistry knowledge with analytics and modeling to advance BESS safety, performance and lifetime.
Working with stakeholders across Huawei, you will develop SOX estimation algorithms, test them from MIL to HIL, and analyze large field data to identify degradation signatures, contributing to European energy transition.

The Power Conversion Technology Laboratory within the Huawei's Ohm Research Center (Nuremberg) is responsible for Advanced Digital Power Technology Research, Architecture Evolution Design and Strategic Technology Planning, and plays an important role in the Huawei Digital Power business in the design and development of power converters and control systems for applications such as PV Solar & Battery Energy Storage Field, Data Centers, Electric Vehicle, and Embedded Power Supply.
We are looking for a motivated student who will combine knowledge of lithium-ion battery electrochemistry and battery electrical energy storage systems (BESS) with analytics and modeling. Our team strives to develop novel approaches and algorithms, to improve the safety, performance, lifetime and economic value of BESS, ensure their safe and reliable deployment within the European energy sector, and finally contribute to the European energy transition. The student will work broadly with different stakeholders within and outside Huawei and drive innovation of our battery intelligence team.
