The Role

This is a Payroll Analyst position focused on German payroll operations. The successful candidate must be hands‑on, accurate, and capable of navigating regional tax variations. The role is based in Frankfurt , and the client expects 3 days per week onsite .

This person will help stabilise the function, and support the local payroll team.

Key Responsibilities

• Run end-to-end payroll processes for Germany, covering multiple regions with different tax requirements.
• Oversee approx. 25–30 Minijobbers , ensuring they remain within tax thresholds and proper classifications.
• Handle standard payroll cycles, statutory changes, and variable components such as Christmas bonuses .
• Produce payroll analysis and follow through fully (not just the initial data work).
• Identify gaps, anticipate next steps, and raise issues rather than executing tasks in isolation.
• Support People & Culture and partner with local payroll contacts to improve accuracy, compliance, and processes.
• Help lift the performance of the current payroll operation.

Candidate Profile

• Able to operate independently and take full ownership of their work.

• Frankfurt-based or willing to commute three days per week .
