Mutares SE & Co. KGaA is seeking an experienced Insurance & Risk Manager to collaborate with deal teams, review terms, and develop strategies across the investment lifecycle.

The role focuses on due diligence, coverage optimization, and proactive risk management for portfolio companies. Ideal candidates hold a Bachelor’s or apprenticeship in Insurance/Finance, with 5+ years in the industry, strong MS Office skills, and fluency in German and English.

Qualifikationen

• Completed apprenticeship or Bachelor’s degree in Insurance, Risk Management, Finance, Business Administration or similar with outstanding results.
• At least 5 years of experience in the insurance industry, with a focus on insurance brokerage, underwriting, or risk management.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, combined with an entrepreneurial mindset and hands-on approach.
• Strong understanding of insurance products and coverage types to conduct insurance due diligence and negotiate insurance terms in the context of M&A transactions and proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
• Business fluency in German and English, with the ability to communicate in a well-structured and concise manner.
• Willingness to travel up to 20% and to work in an international environment.

Aufgaben

• Collaborate with deal teams to review and negotiate insurance-related terms in purchase agreements
• Develop and implement insurance strategies to mitigate risks and enhance value creation opportunities throughout the investment lifecycle
• Coordinate with insurance brokers, underwriters, and carriers to secure appropriate insurance coverage for portfolio companies
• Support in the administration/renewal of insurance policies of Mutares Holding

Your Tasks
