Mutares SE & Co. KGaA in Munich is seeking an experienced Insurance Specialist to support deal teams by reviewing and negotiating insurance terms in acquisition agreements.

You will develop insurance strategies to mitigate risks across the investment lifecycle and coordinate with brokers, underwriters, and carriers to secure appropriate coverage for portfolio companies. Travel up to 20% and work in an international environment are expected.

Qualifikationen

• Apprenticeship or Bachelor's in Insurance, Risk Management, Finance, or Business Administration with outstanding results.
• At least 5 years of experience in insurance, focusing on brokerage, underwriting, or risk management.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and entrepreneurial mindset with hands-on approach.
• Good understanding of insurance products and coverage types for due diligence in M&A; proficient in MS Office.
• Business fluency in German and English; able to communicate clearly.
• Willingness to travel up to 20% and to work in an international environment.

Your Tasks

• Collaborate with deal teams to review and negotiate insurance-related terms in purchase agreements
• Develop and implement insurance strategies to mitigate risks and enhance value creation opportunities throughout the investment lifecycle
• Coordinate with insurance brokers, underwriters, and carriers to secure appropriate insurance coverage for portfolio companies
• Support in the administration/renewal of insurance policies of Mutares Holding

Your Profile

• Successfully completed an apprenticeship or a Bachelor´s degree in the field of Insurance, Risk Management, Finance, Business Administration or similar with outstanding results
• At least 5 years of experience in the insurance industry, with a focus on insurance brokerage, underwriting, or risk management
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, combined with an entrepreneurial mindset and hands-on approach
• Strong understanding of insurance products and coverage types to conduct insurance due diligence and negotiate insurance terms in the context of M&A transactions and proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite
• Business fluency in German and English, with the ability to communicate in a well-structured and concise manner
• Willingness to travel up to 20% and to work in an international environment
