Mercor seeks a Cybersecurity Expert for a remote contract role to review AI-generated threat analysis outputs and contribute to security assessments. The position involves evaluating SOC/DFIR related tasks, threat intelligence, and security architecture recommendations.

Responsibilities include creating realistic cybersecurity scenarios, annotating data for CVE and SIEM triage, and refining AI evaluation frameworks in collaboration with research teams.

Competenze

• 3+ years of professional cybersecurity experience in an enterprise, MSSP, consultancy, or government/defense environment.
• Background in SOC analysis, incident response (DFIR), penetration testing, threat intelligence, or security architecture.
• Strong analytical thinking and ability to translate security operations into structured evaluation tasks.
• Clear written communication and attention to detail.

Position: Cybersecurity Expert Type: Contract Compensation: $1,750–$2,150 per completed task Location: Remote

Qualifications

Must-Have

• Strong analytical thinking and ability to translate security operations into structured evaluation tasks.
• Clear written communication and attention to detail.

Preferred

• Professional certifications like CISSP , CISM , CEH , OSCP , GIAC certifications , Security+ .
