Dometic is seeking an Information Architect / DevOps (Technical Documentation) to join our team in Emsdetten. The role focuses on modernizing content architecture, toolchains, and publishing infrastructure using a Docs-as-Code approach.

You will help evolve our XML-based documentation system and CI/CD workflows while collaborating with global writers and stakeholders. The ideal candidate will have strong experience with DITA XML, Oxygen XML Editor, and GitHub workflows, and fluency in English.

At Dometic, we are transforming technical documentation through a modern Docs-as-Code approach. We are looking for an Information Architect / DevOps Specialist to join our Technical Documentation team in Emsdetten and help maintain and evolve our content architecture, documentation toolchain, and publishing infrastructure.

This role is ideal for someone who enjoys working at the intersection of structured content, XML authoring technologies, automation, and DevOps practices.

Your Responsibilities

• Prepare and maintain documentation projects and repositories for technical writers.
• Ensure that reusable DITA topics, content modules, and information elements remain structured, consistent, and fit for reuse.
• Maintain and improve the information architecture of our technical documentation ecosystem.
• Support and optimize our Docs-as-Code workflows and processes.
• Monitor, troubleshoot, and improve GitHub-based automation and CI/CD pipelines.
• Ensure GitHub workers, build processes, and publishing workflows run successfully and reliably.
• Collaborate with technical writers and stakeholders to continuously improve content quality, reuse, and efficiency.
• Maintain documentation standards, templates, and content governance practices.

• A suitable background would be the following in terms of qualifications and experiences:

• Experience with Docs-as-Code environments.
• Knowledge of CI/CD pipelines and automation tools.
• Familiarity with XML transformation and publishing processes.
• Understanding of content reuse strategies and information architecture principles.
• Experience supporting technical documentation teams.
• Fluent spoken and written English.
• German language skills are an advantage.
• Strong knowledge of Oxygen XML Editor.
• Experience with DITA XML and structured authoring concepts.
• Good understanding of Git version control.
• Experience working with GitHub repositories and workflows.
