Job summary

Airbus Operations GmbH in Hamburg seeks an Industrial Tolerancing and Capability Engineer (d/f/m) to support the Industrial Architecture team. You will define industrial system data, perform tolerance analyses, and ensure tolerances align with system capabilities, while translating processes into formal tolerancing documents.

Ideal candidates bring engineering degrees, years in aeronautics or similar industries, and fluent English.

Qualifications

• Engineering degree (Bachelor or Master) in a relevant field.
• Several years of experience in aeronautical, automotive, naval or similar.
• Knowledge of ISO tolerancing regulations.
• Experience with tolerancing simulation and authoring tools (MecaMaster, 3DCS, Polyworks, Catia V5 and/or 3DX).
• Proven background in product or Industrial Tolerancing.
• Willingness to work on diverse projects from R&D to production.
• Fluent in English, both spoken and written.

Responsibilities

• Align product data to industrial system coherence and cascade.
• Definition Industrial system Datum and tolerance analysis and computation.
• Ensure product tolerances are compatible with industrial system capabilities.
• Translate industrial build process into Industrial Tolerancing Document.
• Contribute to R&T and R&D technologies demonstration with regards to Industrial system geometrical capability and variability analysis.
• Support trades and Industrial architect team to select best Industrial system build concept for future projects.

In order to support the Industrial Architecture team, Airbus is looking for an Industrial Tolerancing and Capability Engineer (d/f/m)

You will be working at the largest production site for civil aircraft situated in Hamburg. Its location on the southern banks of the river Elbe includes the option to commute by ferry. Your tasks and responsibilities

• Product Datum to industrial system coherence and cascade
• Definition Industrial system Datum and tolerance analysis and computation
• Ensure Product tolerances are compatible with Industrial system capabilities
• Translation of industrial build process into Industrial Tolerancing Document
• Contribute to R&T and R&D technologies demonstration with regards to Industrial system Geometrical capability and variability analysis
• Support trades and Industrial architect team to select best Industrial system build concept for future projects

Desired skills and qualifications

• Engineering education Bachelor or/and Master Degree
• Several years of experience on Aeronautical Industry, Automotive, Naval or similar
• Knowledge of Tolerancing ISO regulation
• Knowledge of Tolerancing simulation and authoring tools: MecaMaster, 3DCS, Polyworks, Catiav5 and/or 3DX
• Demonstrated background on product and/or Industrial Tolerancing
• Experience on Industrial system design is a plus
• Flexibility to work in a wide variety of projects from R&T to support to production
• Innovation, out of the box thinking, ability to work in a multicultural environment within a multifunctional team.
• Fluent english skills in spoken and written.
