Galaxus Deutschland is seeking an IS Technician to diagnose and fix faults in our automated logistics systems. You will be the go-to person during commissioning and system acceptance, gaining intimate knowledge of a cutting-edge facility.

You should have training as a Mechatronics Technician or Electrician, with basic PLC/sensor/actuator understanding and German at C1, English at A2. This role offers an 80% workload and opportunities to improve our internal troubleshooting standards.

As our IS Technician, you'll be the go-to person for diagnosing and fixing faults in automated systems, and you'll play a key role during commissioning and system acceptance. You'll get to know a cutting-edge automated facility inside and out – from the very first bolt.

Your responsibilities

• Dig into faults in our automated systems – from controls to interfaces – and figure out what's going wrong and why
• Support commissioning, testing and system acceptance alongside the team
• Work closely with the Industrial Systems Lead and TGW on fault analysis and resolution
• Build deep system knowledge: material flow, controls, plant logic: the full picture
• Document faults, weak points and lessons learned so the whole team benefits
• Help shape our internal troubleshooting standards from scratch

Your skills

• Training as a Mechatronics Technician, Electrician, or equivalent technical qualification
• Experience with automated systems in logistics – but if you're the type who picks things up quickly, that matters more
• A basic understanding of control systems (PLC, sensors, actuators)
• Interest in complex technical systems and structured fault diagnosis
• Language skills: C1 German and A2 English (minimum)
• Using creativity and initiative to solve problems and achieve goals
• A willingness to challenge «how things have always been done» and propose more efficient, automated or effective solutions
