High Voltage Field Test Technician – Join Our Expanding German Team

Our client is a global leader in energy infrastructure, driving innovation and reliability across Europe. We've already welcomed four outstanding professionals to our growing team in Germany — now we're looking for two more exceptional High Voltage Field Test Technicians to join us.

This opportunity is open to candidates with 1 year or more of transferable experience in electrical engineering, testing, commissioning, or related technical fields who are eager to develop their careers in the rapidly growing high-voltage (HV) sector.

As a High Voltage Field Test Technician, you'll be at the forefront of commissioning and maintaining high voltage AC and DC cable systems across Germany. This hands-on role combines field testing, diagnostics, and remote collaboration — ideal for those who thrive on variety and technical challenge.

Responsibilities

• Perform commissioning and maintenance testing on HV and EHV AC / DC cable systems to international standards
• Execute field testing and diagnostics of HV cable systems
• Develop and implement new techniques for HV testing and diagnostics
• Analyze Partial Discharge Data for offline and online testing
• Compile detailed technical reports with actionable recommendations

Qualifications

• Electrical Engineering Apprenticeship or Degree (or equivalent)
• Solid understanding of electrical systems and principles
• Fluent German language skills
• EU Passport holder
• Valid driver’s licence and willingness to travel across Germany and occasionally within Europe
• Interest in developing expertise in high-voltage systems and infrastructure
