HR Manager (MY46883-1)

A well-known Japanese manufacturer is looking for a detail-oriented and proactive HR Manager to manage the overall human resources operations.

HR manager will take a full-ownership across a wide range of HR functions, including employee lifecycle management, HR administration, and global mobility support for expatriates.

You will work closely under the direction of management and collaborate with internal departments and external partners to ensure smooth and efficient HR processes.

TYPE : Full time, Permanent (6-month probation period)

WORKING HOURS : Monday to Friday, 40 hrs / week

SALARY : €50,000 to €55,000 dependant on experience

LOCATION : Krefeld, Germany (Office based, but 1 day work from home can be applicable)

Key Responsibilities of the HR Manager
  • Oversee and manage the full spectrum of HR operations, including recruitment, onboarding, training coordination, employee relations, performance management, and offboarding.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date employee records, ensuring compliance with legal requirements and internal policies.
  • Prepare and review HR documentation such as employment contracts, offer letters, reports, and HR communications.
  • Lead and support HR initiatives and projects, including policy implementation, compliance reviews, and employee engagement programs.
  • Act as the primary point of contact for employees and management on all HR-related matters, providing guidance and advice when needed.
  • Manage expatriate employee support, including:
    • Coordination of visa and work permit applications / renewals
    • Assistance with relocation (housing, utilities, local registration)
    • Orientation and continuous support during assignments
    • Liaison with government authorities, relocation vendors, and internal departments
    • Ensuring compliance with local labor laws and company policies
  • Plan and organize company-wide events, training sessions, and HR-driven activities to strengthen engagement and organizational culture.
  • Oversee general office administration, including facility management, office supplies, and vendor coordination, to ensure a smooth daily operation.
Ideal Candidates for the HR Manager
  • Fluent in German and English
  • Understanding of Japanese is advantageous
  • 3+ years of experience in HR and / or general affairs administrative roles
  • Experience supporting expatriate staff is highly preferred
  • Strong organizational and time management skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook).
