Job summary

Guidehouse is seeking a Human Capital Business Partner to support teams in Germany (Berlin and Cologne). You will advise management and employees on HR matters, drive engagement programs, performance management, and ensure compliance while partnering with the Works Council.

• Strong understanding of HR processes impacting the Employee lifecycle.
• Experience working as an independent HR Business Partner and in a team.
• Basic knowledge of German labour law; experience with Works Council is desirable.
• Outstanding communication skills.
• Fluency in German and English.

Responsibilities

• Provide HR support to management and employees with engagement programs and performance management.
• Lead the local internship program and ensure legal compliance.
• Act as a business partner to the Works Council in Germany and educate the organization on requirements.
• Drive HR operational excellence, focusing on automation and leveraging Workday and other systems.
• Foster employee engagement and well-being in the workplace.
• Support managers and employees through the annual performance cycle.
• Collaborate with the Works Council on works agreements with senior leadership.

We are looking for a Human Capital Business Partner to support our teams in Germany (Berlin and Cologne) as part of our Europe, Middle East and Canada business segment (EMEC).

What You Will Do

• You will provide support to management and employees with engagement programs, performance management, operational excellence, run the local internship program and legal compliance.
• Act as a business Partner to the Works Council in Germany and educate others within the business of what is required.

Business Partnering

Act as a business partner and advisor to local management and employees on all HR related matters.

HR operational excellence

There is a big focus on automation and leveraging capabilities of Workday and other systems. Set up and improve the efficiency of HR-related services and policies and analyse trends and metrics.

Employee engagement

Performance management

Support managers and employees throughout the annual performance management cycle

Collaboration with Works Council

Collaboration with the works council is essential. Participate in the conception, negotiation, introduction, and implementation of works agreements with Executive Director of Human Capital.

What You Will Need

• Degree educated with 5 or more years of relevant experience.
• You have solid HR generalist experience.
• A thorough background in HR processes impacting the Employee lifecycle.
• Experience operating as a stand alone HR Business Partner able to work independently and with initiative, as well as in a team.
• Solid basic knowledge of German labour law and previous experience of working with a Works Council is desirable.
• Outstanding communication skills.
• Strong command of the German and English language.
