Qualifikationen

  • Minimum 5 years of HSE training experience in Oil & Gas, LNG, or Petrochemical construction.

  • Proven record of delivering theoretical and practical safety training.

NES Fircroft are delighted to be partnering with an Oil and Gas Operator that specialises in LNG projects. They are looking for a HSE Trainer to support their LNG project in Germany.

Job Summary

We are seeking a highly motivated and competent HSE Trainer / Train‑the‑Trainer for our LNG Project in Germany. The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering effective, field‑oriented HSE trainings to a multinational blue‑collar workforce working on‑site. This role requires more than just classroom instruction — we are looking for a hands‑on safety professional who can connect with the workforce, communicate across language and cultural barriers, and deliver impactful, practical training sessions that lead to measurable safety improvements on site.

Task and Responsibilities
  • Conduct Train‑the‑Trainer sessions for site supervisors, foremen, and HSE representatives.
  • Deliver HSE trainings and refresher sessions to field personnel from multiple nationalities.
  • Translate safety concepts into practical, real‑world examples understood by all workforce levels.
  • Support and implement the site’s Training & Competence Development Plan in line with project HSE objectives.
  • Develop and update training materials, visual aids, and multilingual presentations as needed.
  • Maintain accurate training records, attendance logs, and competence assessment data.
  • Participate actively in toolbox talks, safety campaigns, and field coaching activities.
  • Identify unsafe behaviours or knowledge gaps and initiate corrective training measures.
  • Report to the Project HSE Manager and coordinate with the HSE and operations teams on all training‑related activities.

Education & Certifications
  • Degree or Diploma in Occupational Health & Safety, Environmental Science, or related discipline.
  • Recognised HSE qualification (e.g., NEBOSH IGC, OSHA, IOSH Managing Safely, or equivalent).
  • Certified Train‑the‑Trainer credential (preferred).
Experience
  • Minimum 5 years of HSE training experience in the Oil & Gas, LNG, or Petrochemical construction sector.
  • Demonstrated experience working with multinational blue‑collar teams in a field environment.
  • Proven record of delivering both theoretical and practical safety training with measurable results.
  • Good understanding of European and German safety regulations related to construction and energy projects.
Skills & Competencies
  • Fluent in both English and German (spoken and written).
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills, especially with non‑native speakers.
  • Strong interpersonal and coaching abilities.
  • Culturally sensitive and adaptable to diverse workforces.
  • Competent with Microsoft Office and basic Learning Management Systems (LMS).
  • Practical, field‑based mindset — “boots on the ground” training approach.
  • VCA or SCC certificate is a must.
