Job summary

STAR Specialists seeks an experienced HSE Manager-SiGeKo to support and oversee HSE activities on site for a large-scale industrial project in Germany.

You will be the appointed SiGeKo, manage HSE coordination, ensure compliance with German regulations, and lead risk assessments, audits, and safety meetings to protect workers and project milestones.

Qualifications

• Multiple years of experience as HSE Manager and SiGeKo on construction or industrial projects.
• Valid SiGeKo qualification and ability to be appointed on site.
• Strong knowledge of German health and safety regulations and site requirements.
• Proven experience coordinating contractors and stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Act as appointed SiGeKo for the project on site.
• Manage and coordinate on-site HSE activities.
• Ensure compliance with German regulations and project-specific HSE requirements.
• Coordinate health and safety activities between contractors and stakeholders.
• Prepare and maintain SiGeKo and HSE documentation including Health and Safety Plan.
• Conduct safety walks, site inspections, risk assessments, and audits.
• Identify hazards and implement preventive and corrective actions.
• Monitor high-risk construction activities and ensure safe practices.
• Lead toolbox talks, safety meetings, inductions, and briefings.
• Report HSE observations, incidents, non-conformities, and corrective actions.
• Collaborate with Project Management and contractors.

Job description

For a large-scale industrial project, we are looking for an experienced HSE Manager-SIGEKO to support and oversee HSE activities on site.

Key Responsibilities

• Act as the appointed SiGeKo (Safety and Health Coordinator) for the project
• Take overall responsibility for the management and coordination of HSE activities on site
• Ensure compliance with applicable German health & safety regulations, project-specific HSE requirements, and site procedures
• Coordinate health and safety activities between contractors, subcontractors, and all parties involved on site
• Prepare, review, and maintain the required SiGeKo and HSE documentation, including the Health and Safety Plan
• Conduct regular safety walks, site inspections, risk assessments, and HSE audits
• Identify potential hazards and ensure the implementation of appropriate preventive and corrective measures
• Monitor high-risk construction and installation activities and ensure safe working practices
• Lead and support toolbox talks, safety meetings, inductions, and HSE briefings
• Report and follow up on HSE observations, incidents, non-conformities, and corrective actions
• Work closely with Project Management, Construction Management, contractors, and other project stakeholders

Requirements

• Several years of experience as an HSE Manager and SiGeKo within construction or industrial projects
• Valid SiGeKo qualification and ability to be officially appointed as SiGeKo for the project
• Relevant qualification and strong professional background in HSE / occupational health and safety
• Proven experience working on large-scale construction or industrial projects
• Strong knowledge of German occupational health & safety regulations and construction site requirements
• Strong coordination, communication, and leadership skills with a proactive and hands-on approach
