Job summary

Hunter Philips Executive Search is seeking a Head of Wind and Site Assessment in Hamburg to lead wind resource assessment across Germany. You will own the Wind & Site Assessment function across the German project portfolio, providing technical leadership and rigorous analyses to support development and investment decisions.

The ideal candidate has strong wind resource assessment experience in development, consultancy or IPP, and is proficient with WindPRO, WAsP, OpenWind, ArcGIS and CFD.

Qualifications

• Experience in wind resource assessment within development, consultancy, or IPP.
• Proficiency with WindPRO, WAsP, OpenWind, ArcGIS and CFD tools.
• Strong analytical skills and the ability to translate complex data into practical project decisions.

Responsibilities

• Own the Wind & Site Assessment function across the German project portfolio (technical leadership, not team management).
• Develop and maintain the data basis for yield, noise, and shadow modelling.
• Assess and evaluate potential wind sites across Germany using tools such as WindPRO, WAsP, ArcGIS, and CFD.
• Lead energy yield assessments, noise and shadow flicker modelling to support development and investment decisions.
• Act as the internal expert for wind resource assessment, working closely with development, engineering, and external consultants.

• Own the Wind & Site Assessment function across the German project portfolio (technical leadership, not team management).
