About the Role

We are seeking a Head of Operations DACH for a growing global company in the packaging wholesale sector. This senior role will be responsible for managing and continuously developing core business operations in procurement, sales processing, and logistics across the DACH region. You will work closely with the Sales team to ensure effective demand planning, define optimal inventory levels, manage procurement planning, and design efficient order fulfilment and logistics processes.

As Head of Operations DACH, you will play a key role in driving operational excellence and scalability, working across multiple subsidiaries to optimize and harmonize processes. You will be a key point of contact for cross-functional topics and contribute to key projects, including ERP / CRM system migrations.

Key Responsibilities

Inventory Management:

  • Collaborate with Procurement and Sales to manage inventory and demand planning
  • Define stock levels and order quantities
  • Develop processes to ensure product availability
  • Order Processing & Logistics: Further develop and standardize order fulfilment processes
  • Optimize and monitor logistical workflows
  • Analyse and improve transportation, delivery, and customs procedures for national and international shipments
  • Provide hands-on support to operations teams across subsidiaries

Analysis, Reporting & Process Design:

  • Design and implement Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) to improve efficiency
  • Prepare and interpret KPI reports and operational analyses
  • Drive digitalization of processes, contributing to ERP / CRM system migrations (Microsoft Dynamics 365)
  • Contribute to M&A integrations and e-commerce onboarding projects
Your Profile
  • Degree in Business Administration, Logistics, Supply Chain Management, or similar
  • 7+ years of experience in Operations, Logistics, Supply Chain, IT system integration, or Consulting
  • Extensive, hands-on experience in ERP system implementations, with a proven track record of leading end-to-end deployment projects. Experience with Microsoft Dynamics 365 is highly valuable.
  • Strong understanding of warehouse, shipping, and wholesale sales processes
  • Experience with forecasting tools, BI applications, and data structure / system integration
  • Proficient in Microsoft Excel
  • Fluent in German and English
  • Willingness to travel within the DACH region subsidiaries
