Ferroelectric Memory Company, based in Dresden, seeks a Head of IT and Digitalisation to drive the company’s digital transformation. You will partner with leaders across functions to build a scalable, secure IT landscape and mature processes for a semiconductor-focused organization.

You will lead IT strategy, architecture, cybersecurity, ERP integration (SAP), and a high-performing team to enable world-class development, manufacturing and supply chain operations from Dresden.

Qualifikationen

• Master's degree in IT or an engineering domain.
• Minimum 8 years in IT roles, 5+ years in semiconductor context.

Role Overview

As Head of IT and Digitalisation you will partner with leaders across all business functions to drive FMC’s digital transformation and build a scalable, secure and efficient IT landscape. You will play a key role in evolving the organization from a dynamic startup environment to a mature, process-driven semiconductor company, enabling world-class business operations and technology development.

Must Have

• Master's degree in IT or an engineering domain (manufacturing engineering, electrical engineering)
• Minimum 8 years of experience in IT related roles, of which ideally 5+ years have been achieved in the semiconductor industry

Responsibilities

Roadmap, architecture, strategy

• Define and execute FMC’s IT architecture, technology roadmap and digitalisation strategy to support sustainable business growth and operational excellence.
• Establish a secure, scalable, and future-ready IT landscape combining cloud-based and on-premises solutions while maintaining a strong cybersecurityposture.
• Drive the implementation of industry standards and best practices to ensure seamless integration and interoperability across the semiconductor ecosystem.
• Develop and continuously enhance IT systems supporting semiconductor development, manufacturing execution, quality management and supply chain operations.
• Translate strategic objectives into actionable initiatives, aligning internal teams and external partners to successfully execute the IT roadmap.
• Ensure compliance with data security, information security and corporate governance requirements.
• Oversee laboratory technology infrastructure, including network security, system reliability, maintenance and the continuous improvement of IT services supporting R&D and engineering activities.

Business process integration and collaboration

• Integratetechnology development, chip design and manufacturing processes into a unified IT landscape to enhance collaboration, efficiency and cross-functional alignment.
• Drive the seamless connection of key business functions with ERP (SAP) systems, ensuring standardized, transparent and scalable business processes across the organization.
• Manage strategic relationships with vendors, service providers and software suppliers, including license management, contract oversight, and service performance monitoring.
• Act as a trusted partner between business and technology teams, translating operational needs into effective and sustainable digital solutions.

Build an IT team for excellent execution of the company strategies

• Build up IT operations to achieve stability and reliabilityand support the team as working member while you grow the team.
• Build and motivate the IT team as a healthy mix of internal and external experts
• Solid project management skills.
• Strategic partner of the COO/CEO, consulting the company leaders to fullfill the company goals within the IT budget.

Your profile

• Basic knowledge about semiconductor manufacturing (manufacturing execution, semiconductor equipment and processes, technology development)
• Experience to cast needs of semiconductor manufacturing and development engineers into projects and finally into realiable IT supported processes
• Strong English communication skills, written and spoken, additional language skills inGermanor Mandarinare a plus
• Act as a supervisor, coach and mentor, supporting employee development, performance and career growth as the IT organization expands
• Highly organized and self-driven, with the ability to manage multiple priorities and deliver results in a dynamic environment.
• Broad IT generalist expertise, including knowledge of cloud architectures and cybersecurity.
• Strong leadership skills with experience building and motivating teams in a fast-growing, international environment.
• Proven strategic thinker, balancing short-, mid-, and long-term business objectives.
• Excellent communication, stakeholder management, and cross-cultural collaboration skills.
• Strong problem-solving capabilities in complex cloud-based and on-premises IT environments.
• Understanding of semiconductor manufacturing and development processes and the value of industry standards and standardization.
• Flexible and hands‑on mindset, with willingness to support both technical execution and organizational growth.
• Based primarily in Dresden with occasional international travel (EU, US, Taiwan, Japan).
