StackFuel seeks a Head of Engineering to convert product vision into a scalable technical platform and integration roadmap. You will establish a delivery culture and drive architecture decisions for future growth.

You will lead 2-3 team leads, develop an AI engineering strategy, and promote AI adoption within Engineering while ensuring GDPR/AZAV-compliant design. Strong German/English communication is essential.

Qualifikationen

• 8+ years in software development with 3+ years leading engineering teams.
• Proven delivery track record with higher throughput and shorter time-to-market.
• Experience scaling engineering teams in startup/scale-up environments.
• Deep technical experience with SaaS architectures, cloud, APIs, CI/CD, monitoring.
• Practical AI engineering experience; AI-driven development mindset.

Translate the product vision into a technical platform and integration roadmap, including architecture decisions.
Establish a strong delivery and outcome-driven culture.
Develop and implement an AI engineering strategy.
Actively drive internal AI adoption within Engineering.
Build a scalable, GDPR-/AZAV-compliant platform architecture.
Provide technical leadership across 2-3 team leads.
Work closely with other stakeholders.

Requirements

• At least 8 years of experience in software development, including a minimum of 3 years in leadership responsibility for engineering teams.
• Proven track record of delivery and outcomes: you can demonstrate how you led a team to higher throughput, shorter time-to-market, and clearer results.
• Experience building and scaling engineering teams in dynamic startup or scale-up environments.
• Deep technical experience with modern SaaS/platform architectures (cloud, APIs, system integration, CI/CD, monitoring).
• Practical experience in AI engineering (e.g., LLM integration, coding agents, AI-assisted development workflows) and a clear mindset for AI-driven development.
• Nice to have: experience in regulated environments (e.g., GDPR, EdTech, AZAV).
• Strong communication and stakeholder management skills in German and English.
• A leadership style that combines high expectations with enablement.
