We are seeking an experienced and commercially minded Head of Digital Product & AI to lead the strategy, development and delivery of our growing portfolio of AI-powered products and digital solutions.

This is a senior leadership role with a strong emphasis on product strategy and applied AI decision-making. You will own the product roadmap, develop compelling business cases for Executive Committee approval, and make informed decisions about where AI can create value, balancing innovation with risk, accuracy and cost. Candidates who have successfully taken AI-enabled products from concept to production at scale will thrive in this environment.

You will also play a key role in building and leading a high-performing product and engineering function, setting standards, developing capability and managing a blend of internal resources and third-party development partners. While technical credibility is important, this is not a hands-on engineering management position.

Alongside strategy and leadership, you will ensure effective delivery across the product portfolio, establishing a disciplined operating rhythm and maintaining focus on high-value outcomes. Experience working with agile product teams is advantageous, though we are open to candidates who have delivered through dedicated delivery leaders.

The ideal candidate will bring a proven track record in digital and AI product leadership, experience managing agency and outsourced delivery partners, and a strong understanding of AI governance, data security, GDPR compliance and client data considerations. You will be comfortable operating in a fast-paced, stakeholder-rich environment, translating complex business priorities into successful digital products that deliver measurable commercial impact.
Must have : Demonstrable experience delivering AI-enabled product features into production, such as AI-enriched CRM, applied AI/LLM capability or similar. Comfortable operating in a matrix structure with more than one senior stakeholder and competing priorities. Experience taking an AI/LLM-enabled product from prototype through to production at scale, including evaluation, guardrails, model selection and cost-per-query economics. Experience of data governance and information security in a client-facing context, covering UK GDPR and GDPR, data residency, client confidentiality and whether client data may be used in model training or prompts. Experience owning a digital product budget or P&L, including third-party licence, cloud and inference costs.
