As a Team Leader in HVDC control technology, you will play a pivotal role in developing and implementing state-of-the-art control systems. This position requires daily management of a team while overseeing both technical and managerial responsibilities in projects.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and manage an engineering team of 20 employees specializing in HVDC control technology, ensuring effective coordination of personnel planning and team development.
- Strategically develop the team in alignment with market trends and customer requirements.
- Monitor and manage team performance across international projects, ensuring compliance with cost, time, and quality parameters.
- Oversee deployment and training initiatives for employees from collaborating HUBs, CoCs, and CoEs worldwide.
- Conceptualize and outline control technologies for high-voltage direct current (HVDC) transmission systems, collaborating with relevant departments to drive innovative solutions.
- Manage project responsibilities, including internal and external concept clarification, customer engagement, software development support, documentation, testing, and commissioning of HVDC systems.
- Coordinate cost calculation, offer documentation, and concept clarification for proposals.
Qualifications & Skills:
- Bachelor’s or master’s degree in electrical engineering, specializing in energy technology, with extensive professional experience.
- Proven experience in team leadership, project planning, and control technology systems management.
- Strong understanding of converter and high-voltage technology, with comprehensive knowledge of control technology.
- Proficiency in HVDC system technology, automation, protection, and control technology.
- Strong interpersonal skills to manage customer interactions and negotiations effectively.
- Willingness to travel for customer engagements and after-sales operations.
- Full professional proficiency in English; German proficiency is a plus.
