A leading analytics-driven company in Berlin is seeking an experienced analytics leader to define their analytics vision and drive strategic growth. You will guide a cross-functional team, establish best practices, and work closely with top executives. Ideal candidates will have over 10 years in analytics, including significant leadership experience in tech environments. Proficiency in data tools and the ability to translate complex data insights into narratives is essential.
We’re looking for a forward-thinking analytics leader to turn data into a competitive edge in the new era of digital mobility. You’ll shape our analytics vision, translate business strategy into measurable outcomes, and build a data ecosystem that powers smarter, faster decisions through a period of transformation and increased investor visibility. The role will be in direct contact with our CFO AND CPO and reporting to our Director of Data and Analytics.
Set the Direction: Define and drive our analytics roadmap — from core KPIs and financial modeling to predictive insights that steer growth and efficiency in a PE-backed environment
Build the Foundation: Expand and refine our data infrastructure, ensuring clean, consistent, and connected information across all systems.
Own the Truth: Establish a single source of truth for business metrics, with transparency, governance, and investor- and audit-readiness at its core
Empower the Team: Grow and mentor a cross-functional analytics crew — fostering curiosity, precision, and data-driven thinking company-wide.
Partner to Impact: Collaborate with Product, Marketing, Operations, and Finance to turn insights into action and tell the data story behind every key decision — from operational performance to board-level reporting.
A strategic thinker who loves turning numbers into narratives and impact
Experienced in scaling analytics functions within tech-driven environments and strong hands-on technical & analytical skills
Comfortable operating in investor-backed or PE-owned settings, navigating complex reporting requirements and strategic transitions
Passionate about data quality, collaboration, and enabling teams to move with confidence
10+ years in Analytics, BI, or Data Science, including 4+ years of proven senior leadership in high-growth tech environments.
A balance of strategic vision and hands-on ability (e.g., SQL, Python) — leading by both example and direction.
Proven experience leading analytics functions in PE-backed or investor-led transformations, with exposure to board reporting, financial steering, and performance transparency
Proven track record of scaling analytics functions through critical growth phases such as funding, expansion, and organizational separation or transformation events
Deep understanding of core marketplace and growth metrics — unit economics, funnel performance, cohorts, CAC/LTV, retention, churn, and contribution margin.
Strong ability to connect operational KPIs with financial outcomes and ensure alignment across P&L and balance sheet impacts.
Experience designing investor dashboards, management reporting packs and value creation metrics for PE or institutional investors is a strong plus
Experience with digital business models (marketplace, subscription, or platform-based) is a strong plus.
Hands-on experience designing, scaling & working with modern data architectures (Snowflake, BigQuery, Redshift, dbt, orchestration frameworks).
Skilled in building metric frameworks, event schemas, and BI environments (Looker, Tableau, Power BI, Metabase).
Solid foundation in data quality, lineage, testing, versioning, and monitoring best practices.
Able to plan ahead (12–24 months), balancing scale, risk, and resource investment.
Comfortable translating complex analytics into simple, powerful narratives for executives, boards, and external stakeholders.
Confident in defending methodologies, assumptions, and insights under scrutiny.
