Job summary

Prometeo Talent collaborates with a leading professional services organization in Germany to appoint a Head of AI who will define the AI roadmap and drive enterprise AI adoption across operations. This strategic, hands-on leadership role requires building governance, AI ecosystems, and the initial AI team while aligning with senior leadership.

The ideal candidate has extensive AI and transformation experience, a deep understanding of LLMs and RAG, and strong German (C1) and English language

Qualifications

• 8–16 years of relevant professional experience.
• Track record in AI, digital transformation, technology strategy, or data.
• Experience taking AI initiatives from prototype through organizational adoption.
• Strong understanding of LLMs, enterprise AI, RAG and knowledge architectures, AI agents, and workflow automation.
• German C1 or higher – mandatory.
• Fluent English.

• Define and execute the organization's AI strategy, prioritizing high-impact initiatives and establishing measurable adoption and productivity goals.
• Develop the enterprise AI ecosystem, including AI applications, agents, knowledge management solutions, and automated workflows.
• Drive AI integration across professional services, including research, financial analysis, due diligence, transactions, business development, and proposal development.
• Establish AI governance frameworks covering data protection, security, quality, tool approval, and human oversight.
• Lead AI adoption through training initiatives, internal best practices, and collaboration with AI champions across the organization.
• Build and lead the central AI team, coordinate with senior leadership and business units, and allocate resources to strategic initiatives.

About the role

We are looking for a Head of AI to lead the organization's internal AI strategy and transformation, driving the adoption of AI-enabled solutions across its operations and professional services. This is a strategic and hands-on leadership role. You will define the AI roadmap, identify high-impact use cases, develop enterprise AI applications and automated workflows, establish governance standards, and build the initial AI team. Your main responsibilities will be:
